Apparently, the official release date was incorrect when listing them to drop on September 25th (a Thursday) and the shoes will now release October 11th. The shoes are a LS release with the usual $10 up charge making them $160 at stores

For those that dig the fusions here goes something kind of slick for ya. The fusion XX will be the next one up to bat and will round out this years batch of fusions. Chicago- The Windy City's own resident DJ to the stars, Jay Illa, is set to celebrate yet another year of success with a lavish birthday extravaganza. And fresh from Detroit to help him bring in another year will be none other than the incomparable Slum Village.

The festivities will take place on Thursday, October 9th from 9pm-3am and are in conjunction with the SoChi Experiment and Bridging The Gap: 3 (Leaders 1354, Movemakers, Black Alumni, Solemates Chicago), presented by Boutique. The city's elite from corporate execs to the streetwear set will all converge on Chicago's premiere night life location, Boutique (809 W. Evergreen), for the can't miss event of the year.

Providing the sounds for the evening will be an all-star line-up of spin doctors including the Heavy Hitter DJ TimBuck 2 (WGCI) "The Legendary" Vince Adams, "The Beat Bully" Jamal Smallz (G-Unit's Tour DJ), DJ "?", DJ Toure (Mikkey Halsted's DJ), 3rd Degree (Enve Group) and Dave Affects.

"October 9th is gonna be a celebration the way I always wanted to do it with one of my favorite groups [Slum Village], great people, and a great vibe," says Jay Illa. "Bridging The Gap happens once a month and I'm just fortunate that my birthday falls on a Thursday, and we're able to put together a great event. Go IL or Go Home!"

"Welcome To Brainiac Society is a compilation or collection of music that I
like, and that I might have made or contributed to. There's no real rhyme
or reason to it. I think a lot of people got confused when I started
repping Brainiac Society as my crew or my label cause I think a lot of
people took it as a separation from Kidz In The Hall, which is not what it
is. It's just me giving a platform to people that I like, and I want it to
be looked at moreso as a Native Tongues type of thing than as a Bad Boy type
of thing. It's just a group of people that make dope music and appreciate
the artistry of Hip Hop and doesn't have to necessarily mean they are
rappers. They can sing, they can make beats, DJ, whatever. It's about the
creative renaissance that's going on within Hip Hop all over the nation.
These are people that I met in my travels who I feel are dope and they
inspire me. We just get together and we collectively make art...It's also a
platform for me to put out Fooch who is my artist. It's no departure from
Kidz In The Hall. Me and Double O are such creative beings in general, that
we don't know how to operate without 30 things going on at once. We're very
much multi-taskers and we've always been that way. We try to have our hands
in everything.

RTC mixed it, it's got new freestyles, some exclusive stuff, some stuff
that's been leaked on the internet, stuff that you might have forgot existed
or never had or never downloaded on a a CD. My hope with this is that
people will download it, burn it to a CD, and just play it, or add it as a
playlist to their ipod. That's really what it is, just a dope mix, a dope
collection of music. Talented individuals on all fronts, and I'm really
excited about it."

Just when you think you’ve seen everything, Chitown invites you to bear witness to the pinnacle of creativity. Relentless and raw this young man is no holds barred, unleashing masterpiece one after another. Introducing Chris Whisby, artist slash creator slash designer of Exist 1.

Born and raised on the south side of Chicago’s Englewood community, Chris took what started as reoccurring nightmares and created vivid and lifelike illustrations. Using only Pilot gel pens and Coldpress Water Color paper he was able to unearth the most indescribable detail that has become a signature, distinguishing his work from all others. From Chicago and New York to Japan and even the UK, as time passes his fan base is constantly growing.

In the fall of 2007, Chris decided to use a different canvas and take his genius to clothing … spawning Exist Wear Series. The series is not to be considered a clothing line, but yet another avenue for Mr. Whisby to display his art (this time on people). For that reason nothing is digitally altered during the transition from paper to clothing.

The same hand drawn detail is perfectly mirrored on T-shirts, sweaters, gym shoes and skateboards. The line has enjoyed continued success since its initial release last October and is now available worldwide. This fall, Exist 1 launches the women’s wear series including everything from jeans, shirts, sweaters and skirts.

What direction will Chris and his uncanny talent take him next?

Well “everywhere” as the young entrepreneur described. Character design for the film and video game industry as well as an Exist Comic Series are on his top priority list. He is also considering touring worldwide where he will host art shows and venues in various locations.

With a red/white pair of Nike Zoom LeBron Ambassadors already leaked, three additional colorways of one of LeBron James’s newest sneakers have been confirmed. Among these pairs are traditional black/white and black/black colorways, along with a Team USA-like navy blue/white version with a laser-detailed midsole. As far as the design, the sneaker contains a clean, quilted side panel, a mesh tongue, Nike’s Zoom Air Technology sole, finished with a LeBron logo near the ankle. With the classic Air Jordan 1 out in a new Olympic colorway and releasing today as part of the Air Jordan Countdown Pack, another version was recently produced by Jordan Brand. This bright colorway features a solid red leather upper, a dark army green and black swoosh, and a white midsole. The shoe is completed with atypical dark army green laces. For those of you wondering, the Premier in the title represents the use of the supreme level leathers and materials for the shoe. In person, this colorway can be mistaken for being a Gucci collaboration or at least inspired colorway due to the colors and the higher end materials. Look for it this coming November 8th, 2008.

Doernbecher Jordan 1 freestyle

Every year five kids are selected to from Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland, Oregon to add their own personal touch to an existing Nike shoe. Last year styles such as the dunk low, Jordan 2 and the AM 95 were the highlights. This year the Jordan 1 gets its turn. I really have a connection to this one because this is one of my favorite Jordans. Designed by Tony Taylor Jr. or Mr. Boober with help from CP3 designer Jayson Mayden, they put life inspirations into the shoe. He has the number 15 on the shoe to represent the date of his kidney transplant. The blue and black upper of the shoe represent his battle with kidney disease. These are a must have for me. Peace!!!

Womens AF1 High

Rarely in the sneaker game do the women get to shine like the men but with this AF1 High this is definitely a chance for them to get their shine on. Black Satin with pink accents can make anybody in the spot cringe if their shoe game aint right. I think these are an obvious pick up for my niece. Look for these to release very soon. Peace!!!

The Nike Hypermax follows up to the success of the Nike Hyperdunk which is one of the most revolutionary basketball sneaker in a long time. R. Kelly To Break His Silence Regarding Child Porn Case In BET Special

From BallerStatus.com -- Since his acquittal on child pornography charges in June, R. Kelly has been quiet, making no public appearances and giving no interviews.

However, the singer will break his silence on Tuesday (September 16) when he gives his first televised interview where he is said to discuss the controversial court case.

BET will air a televised special Tuesday called "R. Kelly Speaks" where R. Kelly will talk to journalist Toure in a one-on-one session where he is expected to speak on everything from the initial allegations to the final verdict where Kellz was acquitted on all 14 counts.

"By answering the hard-hitting questions surrounding his recent case, career, critics and more, Kelly hopes to close this major chapter in his life -- once and for all," a statement from the network read. "Kelly will speak openly about his feelings during and after the trial, the fans he lost along the way, his brother who openly expressed concern about the superstar's sexual age preference and more."

The special will air Tuesday at 10 p.m. EST on BET.

Aside from his legal woes, new music from Kellz have surfaced on the net recently. The three new songs are titled "Screamer," "At the Same Time" and "Two Seater." However there is no word if the tracks will appear on his upcoming new album, 12 Play 4th Quarter.

The album is expected to drop by the end of the year, but no official date has been set.

Coming up this holiday season is the Jordan Blase, which will definitely allow for us to wear Jordans to the more sophisticated clubs. Definitely a nice "Grown Man" shoe. Kudos to Jordan Brand. Naledge Celebrates his Birthday w/ new Song

"Not every birthday is a good one," says Naledge of Kidz In The Hall. But
every birthday does present a chance to reflect and take note of another
year of growth. Self-reflection is at the heart of Naledge's new solo
track, "Happy Birthday To Me" which premiered today exclusively as part of
RubyHornet.com's Inspired By Column, and is available for download on the
Chicago based music and culture website.

The song is produced by Statik Selektah, and its early beginnings can be
traced back to an Arizona jail cell, where Naledge sat alone, just hours
after a Kidz In The Hall performance. The contrast of going from a crowded
club, to lonely jail cell were extremely stark and provided Naledge with a
lot of time to think. The result is "Happy Birthday To Me", a song set in a
bar, which tells Naledge's story through a character celebrating his 25th
birthday drunk and alone.

"I¹m trying to take the perspective of somebody who is just being fully
honest and fully blunt...The irony is that it¹s a celebration, he¹s saying
³happy birthday to me², but he¹s by himself while drinking at a bar. That¹s
the mindstate I put it in," Naledge explains. "I just saw this scene of me
at a bar by myself drinking and being like, Œlet me reflect on this year.
The good, the bad, and the ugly.'"

T.I.'s Baby Mama Wants More Money

The mother of two of T.I.'s children, Lashon Dixon, has reportedly taken the rapper to court over child support.

Dixon is claiming she is having a difficult time taking care of the former couple's two sons and wants the court to give her a monthly stipend commensurate with T.I.'s current success, says the Fort Mill Times. In other words, Dixon feels T.I. is raking in the dough and wants her children's cut.

According to reports, Dixon and T.I. were childhood sweethearts who had two boys prior to the rapper achieving his current level of success.

T.I. has been kicking out about $2,000 a month to Dixon under their current child support agreement for the two boys aged 7 and 8.

Gucci Mane is in a Georgia jail facing a murder rap.

Mane (whose real name is Radric Davis) turned himself in to DeKalb County police on Thursday night after a warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with a May 10 shooting at a local residence that left a 27-year-old man dead, according to his lawyer.

The 25-year-old rapper, whose "Icy" collaboration with Young Jeezy has become a national hit, was informed of the charge on Wednesday while in New York promoting his album.

According to witness accounts given to Mane's lawyer, Dennis Scheib, Mane was visiting a female friend on the night of the shooting when five men — three of them dressed in all black — stormed into the apartment. The unidentified armed men threatened to shoot the rapper, punched him in the mouth and pistol whipped his friend. Scheib said the witnesses heard a scuffle and gunshots and saw the men flee the apartment, with one asking another, "Are you hit?"

"The one who was hit walked by the witness and ran into the woods while the other three ran the other way and left in a truck," Scheib said. "My client got in his vehicle and went the opposite way of the man who was shot. The landlord of the place said it looked like a robbery."

Scheib, a former police officer, said that given the evidence he has gathered from witnesses, the shooting appeared to be self-defense. "If it was," he said, "then why is my client in jail for murder?"

The body of one of the men, Henry Lee Clark III, was found three days later near a local middle school.

According to Sergeant W. Durrett of the DeKalb County Police Department, officials believe that the alleged attackers were acquaintances of Mane. "He produced a handgun and started shooting," Durrett said of Mane. He added that the witnesses interviewed so far appear to corroborate the story that Mane was the shooter. Durrett was not able to say how many gunshot wounds Clark sustained or what the motive might have been in the altercation, but officials believe that the gun used in the shooting belonged to Mane.

Mane and Young Jeezy have been trading dis records for the past few weeks, allegedly over a feud stemming from their hit collaboration (see "Mixtape Monday: Alchemist Prepares To Rock For Em; Junior M.A.F.I.A. Know Biggie's Turning In His Grave"). Jeezy hit out at Mane in a song entitled "Stay Strapped," while Mane shot back with "Round One." Jeezy chalked the controversy up to an attempt by Mane to sell records. "I know where I stand," he said. "I know who I am. I'm grown. I don't play them games." Mane said Jeezy — who also raps on the Mane song "Black Tee" — was angry because he wanted "Icy" for his upcoming solo debut, Let's Get It: Thug Motivation Vol. 1 (which comes out June 28). "He's mad 'cause I ain't let him put the song on his album," Mane said. "We was never really cool."

Mane — whose album title, Trap House, is slang for a place where drugs are sold — was arrested in April 2001 on cocaine charges and sentenced to 90 days in jail, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

A bond hearing was expected Monday (May 23), but at press time Scheib said he did not think Mane would be released before Tuesday. Mane is slated to face a preliminary hearing on July 5.
