BUSH GETS SHOES THROWN AT HIM BY IRAQ JOURNALIST
George W. Bush ducked two shoes viciously thrown at him by Muntazer al-Zaidi an Iraqi journalist, from the Al-Baghdadia network who screamed "This is the farewell kiss, you dog!" during the attack as the US President was shaking shook hands with the Iraqi premier in Baghdad. In Arab culture, soles of shoes are considered the ultimate insult, thus explaining the bizarre act. Bush secretly flew to Iraq for a "farewell" meeting with it's President Jalani Talabani and the war torn middle eastern countries other political leaders. Two things I learned from this incident, Iraqis have no aim and W dodges objects thrown at him like he does insults and impeachments. Hilarious

Kanye Sells 443K, While Ludacris Sells 212k
Of course Kanye sales this time around would be allot lower than “Graduation”, what with the poor economy, no “50 Cent vs Kanye West” hype, not to mention the his auto-tune induced, 808’s which are really 909’s singer/rap album is a complete three sixty from his previous work which may have thrown his fans off a little. None the less 443k is not a failure by any standard especially given our economic current slump.
Ludacris on the other hand sold half of what Kanye did in his first week even though from a Hip Hop stand point, Luda clearly has a better rap album. This could be a result of him not having a super hit record even though “One More Drink” is currently climbing the charts. None the less 212k is not a failure and if you heard his album you would know he still has a few tracks that could be big singles. He’s only on his second single so far.
So who’s album are you guys feeling more….

NEW LEBORN JAMES "CHALK" COMMERICAL
LeBron James will be bringing Thanksgiving to you…well not quite. On Thanksgiving Day, Nike will debut its latest television ad promoting James’s latest sneaker, the Nike Zoom Lebron 6. “Chalk”, the name given to this sneaker promotion, takes its inspiration from King James’s pre-game ritual in which he hoists talcum powder into the air at the scorers’ table before each game.
While the main focus of the ad is about LeBron and his latest sneaker, he will not be alone. Familiar faces such as Lil Wayne, Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Daniel Gibson, Anderson Varejao, and J.J. Hicks will all appear in the 30 and 60-second spots.

MC BREED PASSES AWAY
While details are still being confirmed, sources told AllHipHop.com that the rapper died early this morning.
“He’s no longer with us,” said a tearful friend, who shall remain anonymous. “We are in the process of putting together a benefit concert, hopefully at Saint Andrews to raise money for a funeral,” the source told AllHipHop.com.
MC Breed, born Eric Breed, was a 15-year-veteran who was born in Flint Michigan.
He worked with a number of rappers, including Too $hort and Tupac Shakur.
On September 5, Breed was admitted to an Atlanta area hospital and placed on life support, after he collapsed when his kidneys failed, during a game of pickup basketball.
His condition began to improve and he was taken off of life support a few days later.

Chicago Rapper Bump J Arrested, Charged With 2007 Bank Robbery
Chicago-based rapper, Bump J, was arrested recently for his part in a 2007 bank robbery, according to the FBI.
According to CBS in Chicago, the 28-year-old rapper (real name: Terrance Boykin) was arrested following a routine traffic stop in Carbondale, Illinois, after being the subject of an unpublicized manhunt since September, when he was indicted in connection with the 2007 robbery of a Chase Bank Branch in Oakpark.
The FBI says that he and one other man entered the bank on January 4th of last year, wielding handguns and announcing a robbery. They then forced bank employees to hand over cash from the teller drawers and vault, making off with more than $100,000 in cash.
No injuries were reported during the robbery, but it was all caught on surveillance cameras.
His accomplice has not been located as of press time.
Bump J is currently being held without bail in Carbondale and will be returned to Chicago soon. He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
The rapper made a name for himself locally via countless mixtapes, including one with the popular DJ Drama called Chicagorilla. His buzz eventually earned him a record deal with Atlantic Records, but his debut was never released.

Obama becomes first black president in landslide
WASHINGTON – Barack Obama swept to victory as the nation's first black president Tuesday night in an electoral college landslide that overcame racial barriers as old as America itself.
The son of a black father from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas, the Democratic senator from Illinois sealed his historic triumph by defeating Republican Sen. John McCain in a string of wins in hard-fought battleground states — Ohio, Florida, Virginia and Iowa.
A huge crowd in Grant Park in Obama's home town of Chicago erupted in jubilation at the news of his victory. Some wept.
McCain called his former rival to concede defeat — and the end of his own 10-year quest for the White House. "The American people have spoken, and spoken clearly," McCain told disappointed supporters in Arizona.
Obama and his running mate, Sen. Joseph Biden of Delaware, will take their oaths of office as president and vice president on Jan. 20, 2009.
As the 44th president, Obama will move into the Oval Office as leader of a country that is almost certainly in recession, and fighting two long wars, one in Iraq, the other in Afghanistan.
The popular vote was close, but not the count in the Electoral College, where it mattered most.
There, Obama's audacious decision to contest McCain in states that hadn't gone Democratic in years paid rich dividends.
Obama has said his first order of presidential business will be to tackle the economy. He has also pledged to withdraw most U.S. combat troops from Iraq within 16 months.
Fellow Democrats rode his coattails to larger majorities in both houses of Congress. They defeated incumbent Republicans and won open seats by turn.
The 47-year-old Illinois senator was little known just four years ago. A widely praised speech at the Democratic National Convention, delivered when he was merely a candidate for the Senate, changed that.
Overnight he became a sought-after surrogate campaigner, and he had scarcely settled into his Senate seat when he began preparing for his run for the White House.
A survey of voters leaving polling places on Tuesday showed the economy was by far the top Election Day issue. Six in 10 voters said so, and none of the other top issues — energy, Iraq, terrorism and health care — was picked by more than one in 10.
"May God bless whoever wins tonight," President Bush told dinner guests at the White House, where his tenure runs out on Jan. 20.
The Democratic leaders of Congress celebrated in Washington.
"It is not a mandate for a party or ideology but a mandate for change," said Senate Majority leader Harry Reid of Nevada.
Said Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California: "Tonight the American people have called for a new direction. They have called for change in America."
Shortly after 11 p.m. in the East, The Associated Press count showed Obama with 338 electoral votes, well over the 270 needed for victory. McCain had 127 after winning states that comprised the normal Republican base.
The nationwide popular vote was remarkably close. Totals from 58 percent of the nation's precincts showed Obama with 51 percent and McCain with 47.9.
Interviews with voters suggested that almost six in 10 women were backing Obama nationwide, while men leaned his way by a narrow margin. Just over half of whites supported McCain, giving him a slim advantage in a group that Bush carried overwhelmingly in 2004.
The results of the AP survey were based on a preliminary partial sample of nearly 10,000 voters in Election Day polls and in telephone interviews over the past week for early voters.
Democrats also acclaimed Senate successes by former Gov. Mark Warner in Virginia, Rep. Tom Udall in New Mexico and Rep. Mark Udall in Colorado. All won seats left open by Republican retirements.
In New Hampshire, former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen defeated Republican Sen. John Sununu in a rematch of their 2002 race, and Sen. Elizabeth Dole fell to Democrat Kay Hagan in North Carolina.
Democrats also looked for gains in the House. They defeated Republican incumbents Rep. Tom Feeney and Ric Keller in Florida, 22-year veteran Chris Shays in Connecticut and Rep. Robin Hayes in North Carolina.
At least two Democrats lost their seats. Rep. Kevin Mahoney fell after admitting to two extramarital affairs while serving his first term in Florida. In Louisiana, Democratic Rep. Don Cazayoux lost the seat he had won in a special election six months ago.
The resurgent Democrats also elected a governor in one of the nation's traditional bellwether states when Missouri Attorney General Jay Nixon won his race.
The White House was the main prize of the night on which 35 Senate seats and all 435 House seats were at stake. A dozen states elected governors, and ballots across the country were dotted with issues ranging from taxes to gay rights.
An estimated 187 million voters were registered, and in an indication of interest in the battle for the White House, 40 million or so had already voted as Election Day dawned.
Obama sought election as one of the youngest presidents, and one of the least experienced in national political affairs.
That wasn't what set the Illinois senator apart, though — neither from his rivals nor from the other men who had served as president since the nation's founding more than two centuries ago. A black man, he confronted a previously unbreakable barrier as he campaigned on twin themes of change and hope in uncertain times.
McCain, a prisoner of war during Vietnam, a generation older than his rival at 72, was making his second try for the White House, following his defeat in the battle for the GOP nomination in 2000.
A conservative, he stressed his maverick's streak. And although a Republican, he did what he could to separate himself from an unpopular president.
For the most part, the two presidential candidates and their running mates, Biden and Republican Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, spent weeks campaigning in states that went for Bush four years ago.
McCain and Obama each won contested nominations — the Democrat outdistancing former first lady Hillary Rodham Clinton — and promptly set out to claim the mantle of change.
"I am not George W. Bush," McCain said in one debate.
Obama retorted that he might as well be, telling audiences in state after state that the Republican had voted with the president 90 percent of the time across eight years of the Bush administration

BREAKING NEWS: Def Jam Vice President Shakir Stewart Dead of Apparent Suicide
Def Jam Executive Vice President, Shakir Stewart was found dead today (November 1),
While details are being confirmed, sources stated that Shakir's body was found about an hour ago in his New York apartment.
Stewart replaced Jay-Z's position at Island Def Jam and was named Executive Vice President of Def Jam Recordings in June of 2008.
Stewart began is career at Def Jam in 2004, as VP of A&R for the legendary label.
As A&R, he signed artists like Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and others.
Prior to working at Def Jam, Stewart worked for Hitco, where he signed Beyonce to a publishing deal and signed Ciara during his tenure at LaFace Records.
Shortly after signing with Def Jam, Stewart told AllHipHop.com that he was looking forward to signing a new, fresh crop of talent to the storied record label.
“My main thing is to keep supporting the artists that have cultural relevance, a message, a real fan base and that can touch the hearts of men and women,” Stewart told AllHipHop.com of his vision. “My commitment is to the artists of quality music and talent.”
Most recently, Stewart over saw the release of Young Jeezy’s latest album The Recession, LL Cool J’s Exit 13 and Nas’ untitled album.
“That's an honor for me because these are artists [whose careers] I've watched from day one. I remember buying ‘I Cant Live Without My Radio,’ ‘I Need Love’ and ‘Rock The Bells’ from LL, and Nas' Illmatic when that first came out. To be able to be a part of their careers now and work hand in hand with them in creating their albums now…this is [probably] Nas' most anticipated and controversial album ever…I'm for keeping the brand culturally relevant globally, coming in and being a part [from any standpoint] with a company that's had this type of history, recognition and respect is a huge honor and a challenge. I'm up to it, I'm a fan of the music and artists and I'm just passionate about it so I'm just ready to go.”

BREAKING NEWS: Jennifer Hudson's Mother & Brother Found Dead
CHICAGO - Authorities investigating the shooting deaths of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother were searching for the missing 7-year-old nephew of the Oscar-winning actress.
A suspect in the deaths was in custody Friday night, but young Julian King had not been seen since the bodies of Darnell Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, were found Friday afternoon.
A family member entering Donerson's South Side home Friday afternoon found the woman shot on the living room floor. Responding officers later found Hanson shot in the bedroom, police said.
At least one of the victims suffered defensive wounds, said authorities who described the shooting as domestic violence.
William Balfour, a man suspected in the deaths, was arrested Friday but had not been charged, law enforcement sources told the Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times.
Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said investigators were talking to "a number of people in custody" but she declined to elaborate. An Amber Alert issued Friday said Balfour was a suspect in the double homicide.
Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour, 27, is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle. Public records show one of Balfour's addresses as the home where Donerson and Jason Hudson were shot.
The Cook County medical examiner's office said autopsies for Donerson and Jason Hudson were pending.
Balfour's mother, Michelle, said her son had been married to Hudson's sister, Julia, for several years, but they were separated. She also said Donerson had ordered him to move out of the family's home last winter.
Jennifer Hudson's personal publicist, Lisa Kasteler, said the family wanted privacy.
The tragedy comes as Hudson, who grew up in Chicago, continues to reach new heights in her career. Her song "Spotlight" is No. 1 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop charts and her recently released, self-tiled debut album has been a top seller. She was featured in this year's blockbuster "Sex and the City" movie and is also starring in the hit film "The Secret Life of Bees."
She won an Academy Award for best supporting actress in 2007 for her role in "Dreamgirls." In an interview last year with Vogue, Hudson credited her mother with encouraging her to audition for "American Idol," which launched her career.
The singer, whose father died when she was a teenager, described herself as very close to her family. In a recent AP interview she said her family, which includes older siblings Julia and Jason, helped keep her grounded.
"My faith in God and my family, they're very realistic and very normal, they're not into the whole limelight kind of thing, so when I go home to Chicago that's just another place that's home," she said. "I stand in line with everybody else, or, when I go home to my mom I'm just Jennifer, (so she says), 'You get up and you take care of your own stuff.' And I love that; I don't like when people tell you everything you want to hear, I want to hear the truth, you know what I mean."
Hudson recently announced her engagement to David Otunga, best known for his stint on VH1's reality show "I Love New York."
Hudson's representatives would not disclose her whereabouts Friday. She had been scheduled to appear Monday in Los Angeles to collect an ensemble cast honor at the Hollywood Awards for "The Secret Life of Bees" with co-stars including Alicia Keys, Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning.

He adds, "I don't think you try to put things together with people you don't think you can accomplish (them) with. With 'Kon, with Pain and Pharrell, I know it's more about the music than anything. It's about leaving something. I think we're all OK as far as the money thing goes. I don't think anybody is hurting. You wanna do things you can be remembered by. Make a mark. I think that's something that's foremost on all our minds."
However, Williams is keeping quiet the project: "Those are all my boys. I'm kinda like the only one that adheres to the oath of secrecy. I don't wanna break that," and refuses to reveal what direction the sound will take, adding, "Well, seeing as though I'm supposed to be upholding my end of the bargain of upholding my oath of secrecy, I'm not so sure of how to answer that question."

A Millie... or is it
Fakeshoredrive
(that there is Cha Lo, with his platinum plaque for Lil Wayne's "A Millie")
Now I remember back in the glorious days of summer (whatever happened to those anyway), Boogz did a post over on his blog and kept telling me that this kid Cha Lo, from Chicago, was the guy who actually created the beat for "A Millie" over three years ago. I just figured he was some kind of understudy, or maybe he had just laid the skeleton for the track, or the drums or something.
Lo and behold, this man was the full co-producer and basically the man behind the track. A journalist by the name of Rahiem Shabazz has uncovered the full story over at this blog in a post called "Two Producers, One Huge Hit, One BET Award".
Peep:
The city of Atlanta played host to the annual BET Hip-Hop Awards once again. The celebratory event is highly known for its star studded after parties and nomination celebrations. I got a personal request to attend Shondrae “Bangladesh” Crawford’s nomination celebration for Amilli, Lil Wayne’s lead single off the multi-platinum selling Tha Carter III album. I decided to go in support of the co-producer Cha-Lo whom I interviewed just days prior. Within hours of my decision to attend, I got a text message stating, the Chicago bred producer Cha-Lo known for his house music infused sound, which is the signature sound dominating the Amilli record, would not be attending nor was he invited.
Now, I know what you're going to say: "Well, Cha Lo is a beat maker, but Bangladesh is a 'producer' much like Dr. Dre and Quincy Jones and yada yada yada ya". But from the looks of Rahiem's piece, Cha Lo was basically the brains behind this whole operation. Rahiem also has all kinds of documentation and samples of the song over his spot. I highly you suggest you check it out and weigh in. This is a battle for the ages!
